TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT/10 a.m. PT (RECORDING ONLY)
The Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco was ground zero for the counter-culture migration that we would remember as the “hippie movement.” Youth, peace, and a new Utopian philosophy all jump started the evolution of this new idea—and music was at the very center of the “flower power generation.” San Francisco rock and roll defined America’s next phase of development of the music that was coming of age in the 1960s. Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and others will be discussed in this presentation of San Francisco rock. This presentation will run 1 hour 15 min including Q&A from the attendees. Class will be streamed and recorded for replay on-demand.
